I worked on Saturday, well into Sunday morning (about 18 hours straight), so I didn't
get anything done yesterday, and very little today.
I still needed to actually mount the hose reel to the floor, so I marked off and
did the water/drill routine all over again....
There's something new on the regulator/oiler installation. I zipped the hose
down, yes, but I also bought and installed a pressure gauge at the regulator.
I'm surprised it didn't come with one in the first place. How else are you
going to set the pressure?! It may look upside down (the dial).... it is.
I put it that way because the range of settings I need is at the top (bottom, in
this view) of the dial, and this way
I can see it without kneeling down and bending
over.
Teresa came in after we fired it up... the compressor is barely audible inside the
house (YAY!). From outside, you can't hardly hear it either. I love
the sound this little Sioux air drill makes... I kept teasing the kids that I was
going to take up amateur dentistry. :-)
Finally couldn't stand it anymore and opened the "big box" just to take a peek at
what was inside.... there be SKINS here!
For you non-aviation folks following along, you haven't gone mad. Yes, aluminum
is silvery in color; they put this thin blue plastic material on it to protect it
during shipping and handling, so you don't scratch it all up. You pull the
plastic off before you paint or prime it... you also remove small strips to
gain access to areas you need to drill, dimple, countersink, etc.
Here's the box that has the electric trim components....
